Quik is crashing with new update

Hello, 

 

I am out of the US right now and cant connect to the chat support. I recently opened Quik and it was working fine. I was asked to update Quik to enable new features, and now I cannot open create mode without it crashing. I'm sure it has something to do with a driver needing an update, but I do not know how to find this. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ray

Sorry to hear you are experiencing crashing issues with Quik. Here are some troubleshooting that may solve the issue:

 

First, check that your computer meets the minimum system requirements by comparing your computer's specs to our requirements here.
 

Next, please make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date. I have some links below to popular graphics card manufacturers for your reference:

NVIDIA:  http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp
ATI from AMD:  http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
Intel: ​http://support.intel.com/support/graphics/

 

Here's how you can look at your computer's specs:

Click on the Start Menu, then right-click on the word "Computer" or “My Computer”, and click “Properties”.  Once you have done this, scroll down to the System Information for Processor and RAM.  You can find your graphics card by clicking on the small arrow to the left of “Display Adapters” in your Device Manager.

I seem to be up to date with all of the things you sent from the support page. Is there any way to revert back to the previous version, which worked perfectly well on this same laptop? I have attached a screen shot of what I am seeing when it crashes. Thank you.

We do not have software rollbacks. If you have done all of the things listed then I would contact support directly for further troubleshooting.

Like I mentioned, I cannot connect to the support chat. Maybe because I am in Chile? Which is why I came on here for support. Is there no other option? Thank you.

I too am out of the country on a trip I was hoping to capture with my GoPro. 

 

Just updated and this it happening to me too. Windows 10 Quick version 2.3.0.5383. If I choose to use the Speedometer or any other Gauge feature it crashes Quick immediately.
