I initially bought the gopro about 5 weeks ago to use for rtmp streaming to my own custom server, (It worked great for first few weeks) however now every time I want to go live it says you are not connected to Bluetooth. When I select forget BT device in settings, it really does diappear, and only starts to show the "odd" time after resetting it lots of times, which is really taking up lots of my time.
Its as if the BT in the gopro is not working properly. The camera works great for all other things, can connect wirelessly without any problems.
I am having problems seeing it on any device I try to use, Iphone 8, Android, ipad etc.
I do know what I am doing, as I work with networking and computers daily...but I think there really is a problem.

Hello @quintongp. It is odd for the Bluetooth to suddenly stop working (or work intermittently). Could there be other devices near your setup that could be interfering with the signal between the camera and your custom server?
The Bluetooth signal is primarily used for initial setup or when establishing camera connectivity with mobile devices via GoPro App. The succeeding connections will require only Wi-Fi. This could be the camera does not have an issue with working with Wi-Fi connections.
In addition to the camera reset, try a manual update. This will help clear any possible error with the current installation. Do this even if the camera already has the latest firmware installed. Then, re-pair the camera with your mobile devices following the steps here. Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Did a manual update, eventually got connected to an iphone and it asked to pair device. Factory reset to try and get connected to my Android phone and getting the exact same thing...not pairing with with the bluetooth at all.
This all worked fine when I first got it, seems it is having real problems with Android.
Only thing that changed is I got a new broadband provider in, hence the reason why I had to try and reconnect again.
I am sure its very easy getting connected for the first time, but have you tested it when you need to change phones or changing your connection?

@quintongp, with any recent change in the mobile devices, after resetting the Wi-Fi connections in the camera, it will help to delete the camera's Bluetooth ID in the mobile settings in order to create a fresh start connection. Please follow these troubleshooting steps accordingly:
- Remove your camera entry from the GoPro App's history.
- Android: Open GoPro App. Press and hold the image of the camera and delete the entry from your camera history.
- iOS: Open GoPro App. Tap the pencil icon in the top-left corner of the Camera menu page. Tap the red X icon to delete the camera entry from your app’s history.
- Reset your camera’s Wi-Fi settings using the instructions HERE.
- Delete the GoPro camera under the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi entries in your mobile device’s settings before attempting to re-pair to your GoPro using the instructions HERE.
Hopefully this helps.
