Sorry to hear the issues you re having. Did you update the Firmware from 1.00 to fw 1.51?
1 wireless connections do not keep wake up voice on turn that off. do turn of wireless connection for wifi as well.
wake up will exhaust hte battery in a few hours, noted in the manual.
wireless wifi wll exhaust hte battery only when in the mode On of the camera uses more power while recording.
if you leave it on and turn the cam off the wifi will stay on standby then turn off by bluetooth in 12 minutes time and take a 1-2 percent a day or more . it will not exhaust the battery.
I suggest to remove the sd card, charge your camera and check your settings put back the card after the charge is finished. you may again lett a etting on incorrectly.

The gopro is fine it does not like cold, I missunderstood the question and answered incorrectly. the Operating tempeture is 40110 degrees Ferenheit. If you keep your camera warm until ready to use, and start recording you'll get normal use out of it. Since its outside in the cold hte battery simply does not work in cold. Lithium batteries do no work well in cold nore these bats and cellphone bats. when thecam is cold the electronics are cold they do not work.
How I film in winter is I keep again my camera warm in my pocket. if i have to a hand warmer if need be, normally inside the pocket is fine. I fly Rc planes I keep the battery I use in my pocket if I simply put outside set things up in a 5 minute time, I might as well pack up and go home the battery is DEAD, that fast they die. so I try that out and see if it helps use a hand warmer if like ifall day outside ...
My thoughts out loud.
