Problem adding my device to my account - serial number invalid

I am trying to add my Hero3 to my account but it says the serial number DE3B14632618838 is invlaid.

 

Please advise.

I'm having the same problem with a Hero4 Silver. It keeps telling me that the serial number is invalid.

Customer support couldn't add my camera to their account either. My camera serial starts with DE (I think for Germany where I bought it - although CS knew nothing about this) Changed this to "HD" and added ok. Maybe something similar will work for you.

May I know the first 4 digit/part of your serial number?

The first 4 of the serial number is: C312

I am sorry for any troubles caused. We have raised this concern to the team in charge. I'll be posting back on this thread as soon as we hear from them.

 

Please note that you should still be able to use the camera without registering the serial number online.

I am having the same problem. My serial number of my GoPro Hero 4 Silver starts with C312

have your serial number, an example video, your SD card info and proof of purchase to be helped as quickly as possible.
