Thank you my eiting program does allow RAW. Also I've found a lavalier mic with send receive capability to eliminate background noise as the trade we are attempting to teach many times will have video shot with machines running in the background.
My company has invested a couple million dollars building and bringing in equipment for the training center. It's just a shame the missing link comes from GoPro which has been perfect for minimizing classroom time by the use of video to get out to the hands on portion of the training which is the focus. The students walk away with tech training manuals but class time to cover the material takes a fair bit of time. I was figuring if a picture tells a thousand words a video will tell a million and get us to the hands on portion which is quite difficult in many cases.
Thanks I will look into the Zoom H1n and TasCam DR-05.

As far as the external recorders are concerned, I personally use the H1n, but in other forums that I participate in the consensus seems to be that the TasCam is slightly better. The H1n works great for me, but you might want to do a little research before choosing one (or get both and return one if you don't need it).

Thank you! Looking into each of them as this gets posted. I also like the mention of Audacity which is mentioned during a turorial for the video editing program that I use. I'll look at this as well.
