Prevent go pro switching modes while surfing

I have a Hero 7 white. Is there a setting that once I have selected video mode, it stays on video mode. When surfing, it seems the waves have an effect on the touch screen and flick it on to time lapse or picture, which is super annoying.

You can have the AutoScreen Lock turned on.

Or use the QuikCapture feature.
