Please enter a valid serial number

This is the message i keep getting while trying to register and update my GoPro Hero 4 Silver. I read and re-read the serial number and im entering it accuratley and still nothing. Im having trouble viewing my videos on my laptop and want to make sure i have the latest updated version.

No problem, you are just on the wrong update page. You need to use the drop down on the top right of the page to select your camera. The default is Hero5 Black, which is why it's not working for you.
