Pixilated / Artifacts in playback- is it the SD Card or GoPro? Please Advise ...
[ New ]So I have played some footage from my Session 4 and its riddled with random glitches. I love the session and its one of 4 gopros I own. However, some footage I have recently imported from a trip has blocks of video missing and some skewed/pixilated frames. Screenshot attached. Some sections are glitchy like this, some are large blocks of green obscuring sections of the video
I believe I initially viewed the video directly from the SD card, and when I realized this I imported the footage into a test folder on my HD. It's still pixilated ... what can I do?

[ New ]Most likely it is the card. If this was happening on multiple videos using different cards then I might think otherwise, but since you are using a card with a relatively slow write speed, everything points to the card right now. It's usually best to just stick to the SD card for consideration list provided by GoPro to ensure that your camera operates trouble free.

[ New ]@matthewb330 - This does look like an issue with the SD card not writing the data correctly, or possibly a playback issue (you can tell that by seeing if the pixelation is identical every time you open the file or not).
What SD card are you using?

[ New ]hi @jefft
Thank you for the reply
This is the first time I have ever encountered this problem (and I have around a dozen or so cards and 4 cameras) so I appreciate the help
The card in question is a Lexar 300x 32GB micro, used in my Hero session (4)

Thanks! I didn't realize there was a "preferred" list of cards
So is there any way of salvaging what is pixilated from the lexar?
