Hi @claudiot87

What SD card are you using?

Do you have the camera up to date?

Is the camera paired with the GoPro App?

Check out Camera Performance in Extreme Temperatures

Thanks!

Ej

Re: Overheat

@claudiot87, when using 2.7K and higher resolutions, and/or frame rates above 60fps, it is normal for the camera to become warm, but not too hot, and use more power when using these modes. Lack of airflow around the camera and using the camera with the GoPro App can also increase camera temperature and power consumption, and decrease camera recording time.

Does the camera shut down after a specific period of time?

It is important to determine battery integrity to make sure that your camera works smoothly. You may perform a short record time test through the instructions here: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/Short-Record-Times/ta-p/395856
