Orange mark - new gopro session

Hi all, 

 

Got a new GoPro session for Christmas (hooray).  Took it out for a test session today on the longboard for the first time and have noticed an orange mark on all media (wide angle video, photos and time lapse).  

 

It's pretty annoying...  Picture below for ease.  Anyone had a similar problem or know how to get rid of this.  

 

GoPro session is brand new and this is its first time out and about.  Any help/advice much appreciated!

In order of probability, the issue is most likely: Damaged Sensor, lens, lens protector, firmware, SD card.  I suggest you contact GoPro customer service and include your sample pictures in the email.  https://gopro.com/help/PKBContactus You might just need to exchange your camera, sorry.  It's a real bummer when you get something new and find there is an issue right off the bat.  GoPro will take care of you though.

So your saying this happend to all your photos and video?

Could you post a test video in anyway?

This is odd, try updating the camera, and is

the SD Card the correct one.

Thanks v much for your tips and help.  Sadly I think the camera is faulty - sending back to GoPro for hopefully either a replacement or a fixed version as still under warranty!

Looks like you were spot on with this - camera heading back to GoPro tomorrow under warranty.  

 

Total bummer like you said, but the customer service I recieved was great - very impressive. Hopefully we'll find out what the root cause was soon.

it is a new camera, return it to place of purchase. if it has passed expired date this is a forum, check in to support.

 

lens clean no smudges, , lens itselfcould be damaged and if last resort sensor that order
