One week in with the Hero 6 and not looking good

After getting my first ever gopro exactly one week ago (hero 6) it kills me to say there’s been disappointment after disappointment starting from the back screen glitching as soon as I first turned it on to the battery never ever getting to 100% no matter how long I leave it on charge.

The first time I tried to use it (5 days ago) just as I was about to leave on a ride the camera tells me that the battery is at 0% after being on charge for 8 hours. Obviously I leave the gopro behind and check it out when I come back and now it’s up to 98% (because that’s as good as it ever gets).

I gave it another chance the next day and it froze up after 14 minutes of filming which can only every be fixed up by taking out the battery and starting all over again.

I’ve done the manual update to 1.60 and know my way around a pc more than enough to say that these can’t just be software problems, I’m really hoping I’ve simply just got a lemon that can be replaced because if this is the acceptable standard then I want nothing to do with this brand of camera.

@royalcave1213 - Sorry you're having troubles with your camera. If the battery is new, it can take a few cycles before it can hold a full charge. If you use it a few times and recharge it, it will get up to 100%.

@royalcave1213 - Sorry you're having troubles with your camera. If the battery is new, it can take a few cycles before it can hold a full charge. If you use it a few times and recharge it, it will get up to 100%.

Thanks for the advice about the battery ill keep that in mind while I'm to use again.
Do you have any ideas about the frequent freezes and glitching? Im using a SanDisk Extreme 64gb as card which is one of the recomened cards to use.

That card should be ok. For the freezing and glitches, try doing a manual update on the camera's firmware. Instructions are at https://gopro.com/update/hero6.

Please refer to my original post in regard to the manual update.
After getting in contact with your hotline I've been told that it is actually a faulty item and to send it in for either a replacement or refund. Thankyou for your time.
