I sincerely hope. I sent my own back with a request for a replacement or repayment and just received today the answer from the store, that my request is controversial although the camera is literally useless! Auto WB shots are blue even in daylight, picture shaky in parts watery, indoor recording quality is catastrophic.

It was first mentioned by a GoPro employee here Repost-Dual-split-screen-issue-on-gopro-hero-6-v01/td-p/64898/page/12
"Thank you for the feedback, sample footage and issue description, they have not gone unnoticed! We are actively working toward resolving this, and look forward to releasing a camera update in the November timeframe to address your concerns."

I have to take the words back, with help of this support hub. After first disappointing store negative answer i linked some of the post from topics and store immediately contacted me and full refund me.
I am, however, deeply disappointed, I really wanted HERO 6.......... Now I have nothing left but to wait for what the GoPro will do with tons of fixes for this camera, because as far as I can see, this sales launch was a major fail.

I'm on my second hero 6, I own 6 different gopro models and two drones including the karma and use them for work, I took my first hero 6 back to the store after quickly seeing the issues, I replaced it with another hero 6 but refuse to update.
It's been okish, the power issue is still there, battery drain and turning it off is amusing but that's all I've noticed without the update.
Gopro did F##k up and they need to stop the cowboy actions it's going to destroy the business if it hasn't already, I know there stocks and shares have dropped.

I am worried about the scale of the errors that people are reporting, this camera needs to be literally rewritten as far as firmware is concerned, it's not just a minor update in the question. Concerning the panic in the market, GoPro could ligtning fast lounch incomplete update (same fail as v1.51), this would probably end the game.
I really hope this is not the case.
