Exactly what mic are you using. is it a Mono mic ?
1 with camera alone record a test video see if you got vid and sound? Yes-no?
2. with camera and promic adaptor Only see if you go vid and sound? Yes- no?
3. with camera and promic record video, let record for 5 seconds, then plug in mic, let record for another 5 secs, saying things, and remove mic while talking?
All this should be done without using quikcapture! camera on then record.
take a photo of the mic plug post up. each ring is a channel if you got two rings its a mono mic (understnading you know that)
Why I ask, to do this it can be something very simple and over looked. love to chalk it up to the mic? reading the thread it lead to it later in the post not saying what was happening?

Protunes will separate to a wav file. you will ahve to edit in and mute the video. Promic will use hte original video and audio file, when no mic is plugged in the default three mics are used, when a external mic isintroduced in then the audio track gets written to the video track.
To add some thought what audio input are you using Standard? standard + those are the two to use becuase the other two are for powerred mics with batteries? if you are on the right audio imput you will get sound
