No sound record and no audio external

I won my camera on Christmas day. Record my parents and record my new year. When I see on screen camera, should be make the sound, but doesn't do. And surprise, all recorded isn't have a sound.
Sometimes the camera records sound... sometimes no.
The Hero5 black just make my holidays in silence.
Disappointed.

@grandgorge61802 - A couple of things to check with this. First, please make sure the camera's firmware is up to date by doing a manual update on the camera. Instructions on how to do that are at https://gopro.com/update/hero5. Second, be sure to use a recommended SD card. The list of recommended cards can be found at https://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/microSD-Card-Considerations.

 

If after doing those two steps, you still have issues with your audio, our team at https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs will be glad to troubleshoot the issue with you.
