No Display for my GoPro Hero5 Black

I can use my gopro hero5 only by using my mobile as the display for taking photo’s or video. It is very frustrating because it’s already out of warranty and the store where i bought the unit doesn't want to help or cooperate to fix my problem. They are saying that this is unrepairable and only change unit is the only option, but my unit is already out of warranty. I’m very disappointed. Can someone help please. Thanks

Hi @marcelinoz45

 

Please go over these steps to try to correct the display issue:

 

1. Check to ensure that the SD card is not inserted between the SD card slot and the battery as this can put pressure on the back of the touch display.
2. Perform a manual update. https://gopro.com/update/
3. After the update, perform a Factory Reset. Tap Preferences > Factory Reset, and then tap Next.
