Due to variation in white balance with the longer exposure times, when any shutter value aside from AUTO is chosen, white balance is locked at 5500K; this makes it easier for a user to adjust an assembled Nightlapse' white balance later if desired and avoids the white balance variations/oscillations seen with longer shutter times.
