Why my reply deleted? I write again...
Problems is just the these.
1. At night lapse photo, WB is stucked on 5500k when shutter is not set to Auto.
2. If stuck WB 5500k is intended, why that option is not N/A like EV comp at GoPro device? It make people confused.
3. And WB can be changed in the GoPro app even not set to auto, not only the preview, but the actual shooting result. If you do not go to settings in GoPro device during shooting by app, WB is not back to 5500K. Your reply is wrong.
ex) GoPro 7 Black, 1.7 updated. Night Lapse, Shutter 2s, Protune ON, WB 5500k&2300k, Other settings are exactly same.
If @mariustanya you understand this is not problems, It's totally wrong. Please check the the detail.

We will check back with the team, @tapirist. Appreciate you including sample pictures. Yes, we share the same observation. This is the case as long as you do not return to the settings page on the GoPro app.

Thank for reply, @mariustanya .
I hope you guys to fix the device software which can change WB on night lapse as soon as possible.
The one of the reasons why I bought the GoPro7 is for night lapse function to shoot Aurora using actioncam.
If you block the adjustable WB with the shutter speed, it will be the terrible.(by app or device whatever)
Until now, there is the way to set WB with shutter not auto, I could take a picture like this.
- Iceland. GoPro 7, 1.6 updated, night lapse, shutter 30s, protune on, WB 2300k, without any edit.
I think it is deceiving the consumer if it prevents the functions that have been provided so far.

Is there an update on this? It happens to both my Hero 7 Black's, I solved it by using the GoPro app and was able to use Timlapse with WB 2300, but if done in the camera it would default to 5500 same as everyone else. Please solve this software issue!

Hello @jordir86 and @shotsofredmist. Sorry, we do not have an update for the issue at this time. The White Balance settings can still be set via GoPro App correctly so make sure you have the latest version of the app installed. Best regards!

GoPro, Just admit that you do not care. That sucks. I'm never buying another one of your products. Hero 5 black worked flawlessly. Got 6 and had to deal with HEVC.CONVERTING back to 264 or whatever to make 4k videos. I wish I had just stayed with the 5 4k/30 was perfectly fine. If you are going to make a camera with new features then the least you could do is make sure the older features worked properly. when ppl spend $400 on anything they expect and deserve it to work properly.
I think YI deserves a look after seeing some of the issues with your products and how GoPro handled it. Saving my money and buying something else for my next action cam. Hell, I even hate your software Quik SUCKS!
Have a nice day.
