[ New ]When this happens I disconnect the USB cable, then on the hero5 I bring up the preferences menu, then reconnect the USB and it suddenly finds the new files. Seems to work eveytime I have this issue.

[ New ]Same problem... It says unknown device in device manager, why cant we just download drivers?
The card reader is no solution,beacause we have to open the battery door everytime we want the videos, with time we may broke...

Hello, yes i have it installed. But cannot import beacause windows dont recognize gopro, first identify as "stillmanager" then i update driver and windows identify " MTP device" as unknown. Its very Annoying, a device that costs so much, have this simple problem.

They dont work...
I am starting to hate my gopro, is this...the goprostudio crashes.... its awfull!!

[ New ]@mallaiku - Quik for Desktop should import automatically. You won't need to have Windows recognize the GoPro through the traditional methods like File Manager. It may be easiest to just contact one of our Support reps directly at https://gopro.com/help/PKBContactus and we'll walk you through the process.

[ New ]My PC started recognising the Session 5 after a MS OS update, however now it is back to its old tricks again.
Summary:
1. The problem is exactly as everyone describes;
2. It has existed since at least the Session 4 according on-line forums;
3. We have all tried everything your techs can suggest, and more;
4. And yes, it is bloody annoying!
Recommendation:
Get on the phone to Microsoft and sort this **bleep** out pronto.
