Nope. I've spent over 6 hours with customer support so far, and the update does not take. Nothing happens. I've been told repeatedly the $50 SD card, which was never used in ANYTHING but the Gopro is corrupted. 64 GB of vacation video with my 3 and 7 year olds gone. My camera will be for sale on Cragslist soon. NEVER again.

GoPro made good by me by replacing the Hero Black 5. New unit works like it should. Immediately synced with my phone, and works with both SD cards I have, even the one that was allegedly corrupted. I bought recovery software from another source, and got back all 64 GB of previously "lost" media. Given the fact of the replacement, I guess I couldn't ask for more. Hopefully this new unit remains touble free. Thank you GoPro.
