New GoPro 8 crashes in first video, with audio bug.
[ New ]Just testing out the new GoPro8. Updated the firmware to v1.2.
Was recording in 4k 30fps, HEVC @ 100mbps... after 8 seconds the screen locked and the speaker threw out constant chirping. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh3MSCRIaqk

Re: New GoPro 8 crashes in first video, with audio bug.
[ New ]@andrewm3184, sorry to hear about the trouble. This is an unusual behavior in the camera. I have a few suggestions that will help us further isolate the problem.
What's the SD card currently used? Make sure that a recommended SD card is used. Using SD cards that aren't recommended can cause issues like freezing as the card isn't fast enough to write the content, the camera getting hot or battery consumption is higher than normal as the camera stays in an active mode trying to sync to the card.
It is also advisable to format the SD card before use. (NOTE: Reformatting the SD card will delete all data off of the card, so be sure that you save any videos or pictures you want to keep on your computer before reformatting the SD card.)
Though the camera has already been updated, reinstalling the firmware update of the camera can help correct any errors with the current software installation. This can also help ensure that it isn't the firmware that's causing the issue. Follow the Manual Update instructions specified in this article: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/How-to-Update-GoPro-Cameras/ta-p/394229
Please let me know how it goes. Thanks!
