Need long poles for Gopro Fusion / MAX

Hi Community

Looking for a long pole (beyond the standard Fusion / Max tripod) which is shipped to Europe.

Will longer poles be invisible? Anything else to consider?

Thanks!

Re: Need long poles for Gopro Fusion / MAX

Just look for an extendable long selfie stick with a threaded tripod mount on the base.  That way not only can you use the selfie stick on a tripod if needed, you can also join multiple selfie sticks together.

Just be aware, the higher you go, the more sway you're going to have, once you have sway the poles are not going to be straight and you'll see some stitching marks where the poles are.

These ones are currently unavailable but I use these and they are fantastic,

The best part is that the extendable part is grooved, this means when fully extended and locked, they cannot slide around like other selfie poles can (especially cheap ones).  So yeah, look for a grooved pole with locks on it if you can.

Personally I use the GoPro El Grande with an adapter for the mouting ears. I got mine here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fusion-360-Adapter-for-GoPro-EL-Grande-Extension-Pole-Brass-ball-aluminum-h...

Works just like the Fusion Grip/Max Grip and pole and mount remain hidden.

Thank you for the feedback, go to here that El Grande remains hidden. Quick follow up question, why this adapter is needed in general? Would it work without?

Re: Need long poles for Gopro Fusion / MAX

Try the Insta360 pole plus 1/4 inch GoPro adapter.

The El Grande stick and the stock adapter unfortunately causes a big black dinner tray artifact (as though you're holding one). I know as I own Max and El Grande. I'll be returning El Grande as a) it is not as long b) dinner tray effect c)the mount does not support screwing 1/4 accessory such as a tripod (my intention was to do this and make it stand), the old versions might do but the one I recently bought on 25/10/19 does not.

I use the Smatree Q3 Telescoping Selfie Stick with Tripod Stand. I got it on amazon.com for $19.99 (US). It has a decent extension to 36.6" (92.964 cm) and is well built. It's very good for the price.

Re: Need long poles for Gopro Fusion / MAX

BTW, I'm looking for a 4.5'-5' (152 cm) pole with Tripod for some 3D virtual tour photos I need to take. If anyone has suggestions (under $50) I appreciate it.
