Nd filter

Does the lens of the Hero 7 Black "twist off" like Hero 5 & 6?

I am trying to decide which ND filters to buy, the push on ones

or the lens replacement ones.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Nd filter

Yes, but what your picture doesn't show is it's PULL and Twist. You have to pull out before making the counter clockwise turn.

As far as filters go, I have the Polar Pro snap on from the Venture Kit, and also some filters from QKOO (purchased on amazon.com) that are the type that replace the protective lens. The filters from QKOO give better results (less noise in the image) and are much cheaper than purchasing the Polar Pro Cinema Series (which would be my #2 suggestion).

Re: Nd filter

Yes exactly the same, you have to pull a lil and then twist. it is tough at first but once done easier

Re: Nd filter

Thanks for the speedy reply. I was loathe to put too much pressure on the lens as the filter company showed that

method but GoPro had no instructions for the removal of the lens.

Have tried it using varying degrees of strength and eventually got it. I can now order my filters.

Thanks again👍

Need a replacement Lens cover? Here yah go: http://amzn.to/2iaUTMC Buy a Hero6 here: http://amzn.to/2yWXGzQ Buy a Hero5 here: http://amzn.to/2yE8cje This one wasn't super obvious so I thought I'd make a quick how-to for anybody who needs it. First you pull it, then you twist it. To put it back on
