Re: NOTE TO ALL HERO BLACK 5 USERS: MODE/POWER BUTTON FAILURE
[ New ]I think the fingernail does it... but thats because the button is not overly responsive with larger fingers and effectively forced to use the top of the finger to point and press. In my mind the design of the button creates this and therefore poorly desinged and is destined to fail over time.

totally agree. the button is metal and dead center, so what happens is you miss it and each time it wears, if the button was like theRecord it would NOT wear. why one and not the other space t compactness, now what if you never take out of the frame that dead center notch may also do it in or not

Re: NOTE TO ALL HERO BLACK 5 USERS: MODE/POWER BUTTON FAILURE
[ New ]i started this thread last year ...my retailer swopped out for a new one in a matter of minutes. No quibble. Thats John Lewis for you. Anyhoo, I have stuck a small 'sacrificial' 10mm rubber disc, made from old inner tube, on the surface of the button. This has so far taken the wear off of the unlying surface. Sorted.
