I have my camera set to looping mode and start/stop it with the top button, however everyonce in a while when I come to view the video on my pc after a ride I see that for some of the stop start sections it has started in timelapse mode. How do I stop it doing this?

I tried the update as you suggested. Tried it Wednesday eve and it appeared to work fine, but tried it again Thursday night and when I uploaded the content from the camera there are two timelapse folders covering the initial journey from home to the petrol station, at which point everything was stopped. Upon restarting it then decided it was going to work correctly and loop video, although I've noticed a few dropouts on the uploaded footage.

My Gopro has now packed up altogether. Tried 2 different leads, 4 batteries (externally charged), powered it from PC, powered it from mains. Nothing, no lights, no display, no sound, nothing :(

I am sorry to hear that your camera appears to have a power supply issue. As you have tried those troubleshooting steps it is possible that the issue is on the unit itself.

i've since bought an authorised refurb and that has worked fine for about 5 weeks and now it appears to have done exactly the same, won't power up, won't charge, won't connect to my pc.
