If you are under two years. call or chat to GoPro. sounds like the store warranty was for sales, or the camera we do not know how your store handles that? http://www.gopro.com/contactus
wifi will beed to be set up each time. my suggestions get to gopro on this.

You may also try these steps:
1. Check to ensure that the SD card is not inserted between the SD card slot and the battery as this can put pressure on the back of the touch display.
2. Perform a manual update. https://gopro.com/update/
3. After the update, perform a Factory Reset. Tap Preferences > Factory Reset, and then tap Next.

[ New ]I have a similar problem. Screen works most of the time but goes black after power reset. Wifi is always not ready. Blue light constantly flashing. Can't connect. Camera name has been erased.
I have tried all the suggestions multiple times. Factory reset. Manual update, Power reset holding mode button down 10 seconds. Formatting SD card etc etc.
Really horrible product and support. My guess is there needs to be a bug fix. Last software update was 2017.

[ New ]Stores today have advanced with a Technical shop. they will offer services, and may apply fees. on certain services and all. You may visit the store you purchased for those details. a good example is BestBuy called the Geek squad.. If they can not figure it out, off it goes to GoPro.com and when the Geek squad gets it back they call you....
You do need to reach out to a Rep at gopro and see tehir Options.
