I dropped my gopro on the first day of using it and it got chipped on the side of the lens (pictures). Also, the space/lining between the lens and the body is slightly lifted up. Will the waterproof still work or will I have to fix it? And if I need to fix it, where can I do it?
I hope you know what to do.
Thank you for your help.

A) call gopro. Accedental drops are not covered, but one time curtisy to send a replacement wins people over.
B) replace, visit website shop here, watch a video to replace.
C) Use as is, if it's not interfering with your activities, if yu are afraid of water getting in . do not dunk it, and swap out. each time or place to the side as a spare

the gap you show in one of the last pictures is actually normal, i assume its for a microphone
as for the damage, luckily you've only damaged the front lens which is removable & a replacement can be bought from the GoPro shop

Thank you for your help but I also forgot to say something. When I was recording underwater, it would show a "tool" (looked like a wrench) icon on the square to the left of the camera lens. I checked the recording and it still kept the footage of the video even if it would show the icon. If you know what it means, please tell me.
P.S: If you have time, it would be nice to possibly give me the link to the replacement part of the broken lens part. Thanks.

Where do you live? Here in the UK some store have them in stock.
As for the icon you saw, if you didn’t lock the screen when in water this will happen. To lock the screen swipe down and touch the padlock, same to remove the lock.
