Multiple issues with year old hero5

From the begining of using the hero5 I noticed that the touch screen was very tempermental and hard to operate from screen to screen. This has been frustrating but I figured I'd give it a year and see how I feel about my first gopro. Since then it has glitched out on me with one more issue. At times it will not allow me to switch over to different modes of making a video or picture. It might be an issue with the button itself. Please take a look at my particalar camera and see if its a bad batch or maybe update issues.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Reinstalling the firmware update of the camera can help correct any errors with the current software installation. Follow the manual update instructions specified on this article: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/How-to-Update-GoPro-Cameras 

 

It is important to make sure that the camera is updated to the latest firmware and that a recommended SD card is used. There is a list of recommended cards here https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations for your reference. If you are already using one, has updated the camera already, and is still experiencing the same issue, our Support team will be able to assist you further.
