Here is the (unfortunate) description of my first experiences with a brand new Fusion i was gifted a couple days before x-mas...
Charged camera. Inserted both SD cards and formatted BOTH in camera. Camera seemed to be shooting fine. connected to gopro app, all looked good...
After shooting with camera for a bit, I connected Fusion to Macbook Pro & Fusion Studio 1.0. It connected fine, but was given an error that only 1 SD card had images/footage... No other options for importing the footage from camera could be found in the Fusion Studio application.
Although frustrating, I was able to download the 1 SD card via Image Capture app on Mac. 2nd SD card was indeed empty.
SO, I reset the camera to factory settings via Settings menu on Fusion. Formatted both cards again. Shot another test.
2nd time I connected to my computer, the camera wont not connect to fusion studio. restarted comp and camera, still nothing.
Factory reset again. it connected to computer and everything worked. yay.
okay... flash forward to x-mas day. shot all day. Timelapses and video mostly.
Now the camera refuses to connect to the computer. reset all the things. no dice. And now i keep getting this message:
this warning never showed up the first 2 attempts to connect Fusion to my comp.
did i get a lemon or what?
Also, don't reply saying i can download SD cards using a card reader and import via Fusion Studio. I'm aware.
I just want a camera that works as adveristed.

@grantaldrich - Sorry you're having some troubles with the Fusion. The SD card issue that you were able to resolve could be a couple of things, including the card simply not being in the slot completely. If that happens again, try swapping the cards to see if the card is the issue or if the port is causing it.
For the USB issue, are you getting this error when you launch Fusion Studio and connect the camera using that program, or is it happening when you just plug the camera into the USB port?

I get the error when i plug the camera into the USB port and turn it on. When the Fusion off, it is unresponisve when i plug into USB port. No USB or Charging logo appear anymore, and it will not connect to Fusion Studio.

thanks for your help, @jefft
Spoke with support and now I am waiting for a call from "expert" support....
Hope I get a new replacement becuase I dont enjoy my family spending $700 bucks on a product that doesn't really work.

I feel your pain. They sent me a return label for replacement but I think the best option is refund.
To top it off my Hero 6 is starting to fail which I've had longer. I have a lot of cameras....this isn't a software (unless gopros) or a computer issue. But there are some major flaws. I have had better luck with the HERO 6. SIssues are starting to pop up from out of nowhere now. You will start to see more online review wise/this forum wise as people start using their Holiday presents. I gurantee it...still waiting on a standing email (3 to be exact) back about refund possibility and the Hero 6 issues.
The Fusion never worked for me. Went through the same troubles as you. It showed up with a faulty screen (If thats what you call the .50x.50 inch display they slapped on a 600 plus camera to ship out before XMAS without mentioning a whole hell of a lot of things until you receive it and find out.
I Could go on and on. I'd say be a greasy wheel but that is not working to good for me yet..
