Most disappointing purchase of the year Hero5 Black

GoPro will you buy my camera back? The thing does not charge I’ve read the forms seems like this is a common issue and none of the fixes on the website work

 

seems like it would be awesome if it held a charge though perhaps I got a defective battery

Thanks Turns out the hero that I purchased must’ve been on the shelf for about two years. After calling your support line they determine the battery was made in 2016 and they are prone to fail if they go a long period of time without charging. Go pro is sending me a new battery and I opted to get another one  and I have to say it is A pretty neat device it would be nice if the boxes had some sort of disclaimer about when the unit was manufactured so retailers can sell the older Stock first or send them back for replacement batteries if they’ve been on the shelf too long. Customer service on the phone was great and I’ll have to take back my earlier thoughts about this being a bad purchase
