Max video playing back in fast forward

I recorded a few videos today with the Max.

One only plays back in fast forward mode, the others are fine. In the app if I chose about it shows it as Video, I assume if I'd accidentally recorded time lapse it would show as such?

Any suggestions as to why and can I slow it down at all?

thanks!

greg

Re: Max video playing back in fast forward

Aha reading that link it says the following which I think explains it. Both times I had ski gloves on and wasn’t sure it was working so continued to hold the button down!

Press once for video, press and hold for a few seconds for Time Lapse photos.

Re: Max video playing back in fast forward

Hello @kitensi

It is possible that it was recorded using time lapse mode.

Was this on HERO mode or 360?

You may try to change the playback speed using a 3rd party application.

Programs to View and Edit Videos

Thanks!

Re: Max video playing back in fast forward

Hmm, same thing again today. First video was in fast forward, the other two are fine?

This was after updating the firmware last night so perhaps I've found a bug?

Re: Max video playing back in fast forward

That does look like a time lapse. It can be easy to switch between those modes when setting up your shot - a finger swipe is all it takes. Just want to double-check the mode before you start recording. You could also define the settings you prefer for your QuikCapture defaults and then just use that feature. More info on that is at https://gopro.com/help/articles/question_answer/What-is-QuikCapture-and-How-Does-it-Work.

Re: Max video playing back in fast forward

I’ve definitely not selected time lapse. I have it set to record 360 video when using the top switch. That’s what I’ve done for the past 2 days. I’ve not touched the screen. Each day the first video has been in fast forward but subsequent one recorded exactly the same way are fine.
