Material on SD card not traceable

I was recording some Videos that should have been saved on the SD card, but more than half of the material isn't displayed neither in the app nor on the SD card. But there's a lot more disk space used than the displayed videos need.

The folder shows datas with a size of 1.5GB and the SD card is used by 6.5GB.

Does anyone know a way to find the not displayed videos that are maybe stored on the SD card.

Thank you very much in advance!

Re: Material on SD card not traceable

Hello @chrisgan9989. Would you know if the files were videos? timelapse? What do you get on the camera screen when you attempt to view the media? Is there an error message? Does the GoPro App detect your camera?

See if the videos can be played on a computer using different media players, if available. You can connect the camera directly to a computer, or insert the SD card directly using an SD card adapter. Let us know what you find out. Thanks!

Hi @chrisgan9989

Are you able to play the files directly on the camera?

What SD card are you using?

Thanks!

Re: Material on SD card not traceable

Again thank you very much for your reply. I'm using a SanDisk extreme pro 32GB. No, it's also not possible to play the datas directly on the camera.

Re: Material on SD card not traceable

It's 1 timelapse and around 10 videos. The Datas aren't displayed - not on the computer or the smartphone app or the camera. It's displayed nowhere - I've connected everything with everything.

Re: Material on SD card not traceable

Hi @chrisgan9989

It is possible that the files were corrupted.

See if doing a full format on the card will help.

Make sure to back up any existing/important files before proceeding.

Thanks!
