Are there any updates on this?
Same audio issue here with the EVO SS wearable Gimbal.
I'm reading everywhere that we need to place our GPH5's in Audio/Wind mode.
This produces muffled audio on my our video playbacks.
I've written EVO about the Gimbal noise & they point back to the Camera Manufacturer for support. Meh?, WHAAAAT???
Is GoPro Support working on this issue?
Is anyone working on this issue instead of finger pointing?
How about some collaboration?

nobody from Gopro wants to answer - they know it but do not want to comment I guess. Never had this with the Hero 4 black. Yesterday I was flying first time the KARMA drone from a friend. What a mess. But at least it works with the Hero4. Sometimes the drone shakes heavy. So it´s all a bit full of bugs and I hope they will come up with new and professional products. Also the gimbal is a bad joke. Please Gopro - as a fan from the first days - get your products fixed asap! Or you will loose the whole market to other companies like DJI, Sony...

As far as, "are they working on this?" I have no doubt that GoPro is working on a solution.

I got a Hero 5 Black and a Polaroid Gimbal. Audio quality is really bad! It makes recording audio without a seperate audio recorder impossible. I tried the wind noise setting, but still pretty much useless. With a smaller audio adapter I just might get away with an external mic. But the point of Gopro should be the ease of use and it's just not there with gimbals.
This is probably my last Gopro product unless you fix this issue quickly!
I guess Gopro is becoming another Apple type brand with expensive stuff that performs average and will charge you arm and leg with all the unnecessary (and poorly designed) adapters.

Due to their non-response to this particular thread and my official support request via email I sent to them 2 weeks ago it is my 1st and last GoPro product. Too bad. I was going to spring for their Karma drone. I know it won't matter to them because it's just one person's (me) purchase. But I influence a club of 30 members. Oh well... Good luck GoPro and enjoy it while you're still around.
