Do you get the same result with the SD card removed from the camera? If no, please ensure that you have a recommended SD card used. Using non-recommended SD cards may cause the camera to stay in an active mode trying to sync to the card.
If this isn't the case, try using a different battery (if available). Then you can manually reinstall the firmware update of the camera as it can help correct any errors with the current software installation.
