Looking for ideas to extend Hero 5 battery life on the water
[ New ]I am looking to start doing some on-water recording and I want to integrate clear audio into it. I've had a Hero5, and I've only used it once. It will be mounted on the windscreen of my boat, and I am looking for possible solutions for external power AND connecting a external mic at the same time. What options if any are available for the Hero 5 Black?
THANK YOU

Leaving the camera door open will NOT make your HERO5 camera waterproof.
I am not sure if other users have made the setup you are trying to achieve.
Let's see other user's thoughts on this.
Thanks!

[ New ]Correct, and if I would not use the camera in any inclimate weather for this very reason. Hopefully someone has a wild hair idea like mine and hopefully they chime in

I did see this product and it would work well for extending battery life, but there then comes the issue of AUDIO. I would want to also ad an external mic to the camera, and this device will not allow that.
