No live preview for time warp on Hero 7 black on gopro app? It just says "BUSY" on the app during the recording. Is this normal?
Doesn't matter what rate I set it to (2x, 5x, 10x). Latest GoPro firmware installed (1.5.1). Latest gopro app. I can see live preview for normal videos and photos.
In the support menues (at least for older gopros), it implies I should see live preview:
>>> The GoPro App supports Live Preview... Sometimes you might see a 'Camera Busy' message appear. This means that the resolutions and/or fps is too high to be supported by Live Preview. If Time Lapse Photo is not showing a live preview, shoot at a higher interval starting at 2 seconds.

Get enough people together this can happen otherwise this is what we get limited features. Just demo'd and shown on my set up.

Live preview is not available when on TimeWarp mode.
When on this mode, the camera analyzes the scene then applies TimeWarp based off of your selected speed.
It then processes the footage in the camera and produces the TimeWarp video.

But since the camera displays video ON the little screen on the back while taking a timewarp video, it is very possible for it to send the same video to the LiveView screen on the gopro app. Especially since apparently this was a feature of older cameras, as indicated by the FAQ page I linked above.
yes, the LiveView won't be showing exactly what the video will look like when you are done, but it would help you know that the camera is actually still recording ('cause it doesn't always), and that it is framing the image you want. And when the camera is mounted in a location where you can't watch the little screen on back, that would be useful.
GoPro as a minimum should update their FAQ page, and update the App so instead of saying BUSY it displays LIVE VIEW NOT AVAILABLE IN THIS MODE, so users don't go on a wild goose chase to find out why their camera is malfunctioning.
