After updating my iphone GoPro app to v.5.0 and attempting to adjust my Hero 3+ camera setting I can no longer make changes that I was able to do previously... Literaly making this version of the app useless for my camera.
It looks to have kept settings made from my last session with the old app and not I can't change here and that includes all settings.
Is this a known issue and if so why was it not communicated as not being supported in older cameras.
How can I get the older app version 4.61 back...
Truly dissappointed with this... Makes using the camera extremly limited

Thank you for the details that you provided. It is odd that the GoPro App does not allow you access to such settings. Will you be able to send a screenshot showing what you see on the App? Are all the settings options really not accessible, or just some of them. Which particular HERO3+ camera and which mobile device are you using?
I tested with a HERO3+ Silver camera and an Android device with GoPro App version 5.0 and I am able to access all Settings options via app. Try uninstalling and re-installing the GoPro App on your mobile device to make sure that you have the latest version. Then, manually update your HERO3+ camera following instructions here.
Let us know how it goes.

I'm having the same problem with my Hero 3 black. I have updated the firmware of the camera to the latest one, can connect the camera to my iphone 8, run the gropro app on it, can see live feed from camera but when I try to change the settings of the cammera with it, the app show always the default settings... but on the camera the settings are actually changed, the problem is that the app doesn't shows the changed status of the differente settings. Attached is a screenshot of what the app shows, I have 1080p-60fps-burst 30/1sec-timelapse 10sec actually changed through the app (I can change it to any option and it shows the new setting ok on the camera) but the app is stuck showing wvga-12fps-burst 3/1sec-timelapse 0.5sec, all the settings stay stuck on the app.

Thank you for sharing your findings, @graystorm52726. There seems to be an issue with the app and HERO3+ cameras. Which HERO3+ camera model are you using? Have you been able to manually update the camera and tried pairing again? I manually updated a HERO3+ Silver camera and paired it to the app again and I was able to access the Settings options as well make changes on them which applied to the camera. See if a manual update on the camera will resolve the issue. You can find instructions under Manual Update here. Let us know how it goes.

Hi, as mentioned on my preious post I have the Hero3 black... not the Hero3+. Also metioned that I succesfully updated the firmware of my hero3black to the latest one. Actually did the manual update yesterday. So... the manual update did not resolve the issue, as stated I can pair my camera with the app, I can access the settings options with it, actually make changes to the camera, the camera shows the new options taking effect, BUT the problem is the app doesn't shows any changes at all it just reamin showing what the screenshot of my previous post shows.
