I bought my first Hero4 in 2015 for my Honeymoon. It broke on day 2 of a 16 day tour of Canada on a Harley. I lost ^never to be had again^ picture and video. I asked GoPro for help, maybe a supplier in Canada I could meet and swap but no. I had to exchange it when home. I had a roll bar mount that snapped whilst on a ski pole. The 3 way nut loosened in the sea in December and I almost lost the camera. I have had numerous issues with Studio and lost all my videos but still, I bought a Hero 5 Black in January.
I took it on a surprise holiday that my wife bought me to Malta 4 weeks ago. I used my Karma on the first day then switched use it in the sea for a spot of diving but the Door broke so I couldn't use it. again, poor quality had ruined more memories being saved. I chatted to GoPro on May 10th and asked them to send me 2 doors, 1 to replace the one broken and a spare and I had a tracking number. Apprently the system crashed and my delivery address was changed to Afghanistan rather than the UK. I only found out today 29th after wondering where it was. Apparently the first operator told me she'd send 2 doors but Debora G says no, only 1. She asked if I needed any more help but then ended the chat before I had the chance to answer.
I have now spent £1800 on GoPro stuff, both cameras have broken, I have lost memories, 2 mounts have broken and GoPro wonder why their shares are plunging and people are not buying them. £69.99 for a 3 way on GoPro.com, £13.99 for an almost knock off copy. I wonder where they are going wrong.

I hear ya. sounds like you hada rough time. You wanted gopro to come to you and hand you a new camera, take yours back, that be a gopro moment, right? A priceless Moment? GoPro loves us, we spend and spend more on a product that simply fails to deliver perfect products preformance?
I asked gopro for a replacement door, they declined me my request. I am not upset, how gopro operates. Sales first repairs last.
GoPro is not like they used to be. but htey do make a product we all want more. I wish you thebesst of luck. I sit here waiting day one for the issues to be resolved by requistions in with gopro. while my camera gets older. Lol

Do you think nick knows about these things or his managers just keep it on the down low and cover up?. He may wonder why things are going wrong but he's not kept up to date.

I just think they simply got greedy, a while back I bought the hero2 and it was fine but I used it about a dozen times. It didn't fit me that's all. I sold it on and continued with my main gear. Then all the drone stuff kicked off and GoPro must have made a fortune off the back of the DJI Phantom before it introduced its own camera.
GoPro must have thought it was bliss and never banked on DJI bringing its own camera to the party, they were left with their pants down and as I see it never recovered even with the audacity to call their drone the "Karma"!
I stupidly on my part a trusted GoPro's cameras as tried and tested but the hero 5 range is a mistake, more fool me I kept buying their products karma Grip, hero 5 black and the hero 5 session.
They have not not managed to get the session cage for the karma to fruition which is the main reason I got the karma, the hero 5 black is riddled with issues that are wide and varied and disastrous for an action camera.
i bought the GoPro just to have fun, but although I have used them under water I now think do I really need to because I don't want them ruined with the leaking issue others have.
I will keep them for what they are but I think GoPro has slept on technology advances and went cheap, I could forgive the lack of features for a camera built tough but when they fail in a foot of water then ya gotta ask why bother.
In less than a 6 months on the forum I am loosing interest to be honest.....

Is that why they called it Karma? I didn't realise that but yes that is a little cocky.
They almost seem cocky with everything. I signed up to their online storage and got 20% off mounts so bought 2 but I noticed that they raised the price of all mounts by at least £5 the week before it started. The way to save your business as a consumer is NOT to raise your prices but make them more affordable so more people spend a little more on a better product than some of the cheaper rubbish action cameras about.
At the same time though, they must improve the products and the cusomter service. The new roll bar mounts are much much better but I have had issues with the Hero 5 where it changes modes by itself and also took a burst while it was in my hand on video mode. I have also had to reset Karma grip twice as it goes mad.
My understanding is anyone that would buy a GoPro has already bought one and the sales have dried up but they need to make it more affordable, not £399. Just madness.

Yes a lot we can say. damage has been done, if you're not wise enough t see it, you'll be suckered in, big time? I got my camera's to simply keep the faith going lol. Yep a lot we can say.
Happy they got a trade up, just not for the Hero 5 black, wish it was for the Hero 6 soon to be out in months to a year lol

In this day and age of social media stuffs I cannot believe they are OK with all the negative experiences on the forum. I know it's a community based forum but had I read all the issues putting aside user inexperience I would either have returned my GoPro stuff or never bought it.
They must have one poor guy working on the device firmware programming by the looks of it.
Honestly how many positive users are here? Look at the showcase section it's virtually empty.
Think I will create something cool just to try make a difference, I wanna like and justify my purchase but it's a struggle

you got that right! this is a forum, more a records forum, I read all help, a few positive posts? I am shocked people do not complain about how thecamera is packaged and why it is so hard to open the box. what that locking tab is. they all get pass that. so there are reasons why people complain???
I guess they think they are talking to gopro.com and technical support? They do monitor and use feedback, but that is all.
I did not like the taking away of a great feature called Dual recording but when its gone so is the fun.
a lot can be said
