Issues with importing files into Quik GoPro App

Dear GoPro community,

 

Basically, I have connected the camera using a USB lead and it is connected to the GoPro Quik app. The problem is that I have some files from a recent event but the app says there is nothing to import and that 0% of the SD card is used, when in fact I have many other files.

 

Uploading video files has never in the past been a problem, it was always editing further down the line that phased me, so I am very confused as to why the files are not being imported.

 

I have a computer that uses Windows 10 and the software is updated. I have trawled through the Internet to find a fix and done all the usual procedures - restarting the PC, removing the battery, removing the USB lead, changing the port, redownloading the app, etc, but have had no luck.

 

I am not particularly 'techy', so any advice would be so appreciated please.
