Is there a solution for date/time loss on battery replacement?

[ New ]

While recording on the move, I use the time to help organize and more importantly place my videos to a location.   When I replace the batteries the time is reset to not the current time.   Is there a solution for this?

Unless the batteries are out of the GoPro for more than a day or two, the clock shouldn't reset. If it does, or if you want to reset to local time, you can pair your GoPro to your phone and use the phone's clock to set the clock on your GoPro.

Thanks.   I just did a test and the video file time was correct after removing and replacing the battery.

Perhaps I didnt set the time when I first started recording which is where I had the problem.

Thank you for the help
