I am unable to download any updates for my Hero5 black as it states the serial number is invalid. Quik will not recognize my Hero5 even though the display shows "USB Connected" with the USB icon on front and rear displays.

Hello, @swpamer. Try clearing cache and cookies on your browser or using an incognito browser. Also, make sure that you are on the correct camera page. See if going through the steps below will help.
- Go to the HERO5 Black or HERO5 Session update page.
- Under "Other ways to update" at the base of the page, click "Update your camera manually."
- Enter your Serial Number and other requested information, click Next Step.
- Click "Download Update."
- Click "Click here to download firmware."
- Follow the steps on the screen for detailed instructions for your operating system.
