Invalid Hero 7 Black Serial Number

I am trying to add my Hero 7 Black as a device and when Type in the serial number the app indicates the serial number is invalid. What is the solution for this? The right model type has been selected in the drop down menu.

Are you adding the camera as a device under your GoPro Account through gopro.com/login ? Your HERO7 Black camera should have a serial number starting with C328... and should be 14 characters in total including the C. Please try this: 

  1. Visit https://gopro.com/update
  2. Select HERO7 Black. 
  3. Under Other Ways to Update, select "Update your camera manually."
  4. Put in your camera serial number on the space provided. It will be validated by the box turning green on the lines. 

I just added a HERO7 Black camera to devices under my GoPro account and it was detected and accepted. Try again by logging out, then logging out. Let us know how it goes.
