Re: Incorrect time when importing recorded videos on gopro devices

I have the timestamp problem. But different.

My GoPro is stamping UTC-12.

I am in Central Time Zone.

So it is like this:

[The Time on GoPro]-----6-hrs-----[Central Time/My Computer]-----6hrs-----[UTC]

Example: I enter 1pm on GoPro because my local time is 1pm. The display on GoPro does show 1pm. I record something. When I read the SD card and copy the file to my computer, the time stamp no longer shows 1pm. It shows 7am.

Why would any programmer at GoPro set the local time of the GoPro as UTC-12, and there is no way for us to change it?

Re: Incorrect time when importing recorded videos on gopro devices

Hello @thatsodd. There are no timestamps on the video itself (as in displayed). When you are viewing your GoPro media (photos/videos) through Quik, you will be able to get date and time information by selecting Show Info as detailed here https://gopro.com/help/articles/How_To/How-to-Get-More-Information-About-a-Media-File-in-GoPro-App-f... . You may also obtain time and date information through your computer
