I want to mount the camera portrait on my helmet; how can i rotate video right way up?

hi,

 

hero5 (and 6) only accept in camera rotation upside down, either up, or down...

 

I assume you want to increase the field of view (FOV) on the vertical axis.

 

some video players, like DIVX, accept the rotation with 90 degree

I'm sure some postprocessing software accept also 90 degrees rotation (not GoPro Studio...)  

 

but, if I think on the vertical FOV, why don't you use those 4:3 formats? 2.7K 25fps and 1440 25/48/50/80 fps?

on Hero 6, FOV = 2.7K 4:3 has also 50fps....and 4K at 25fps

 

(i'm in PAL mode...in NTSC mode fps are 30/60/120. etc...)

 

 

these formats are meant exactly to widen the vertical FOV.....
