Sorry to hear about the trouble especially that you are on a holiday trip. Is the camera out-of-the-box? Is the SD card correctly seated on it slot? Are you able to get information on the front display though?  If you would have access to a computer, and an SD card adapter, you can perform a manual update on your camera following this link. Once you get to the page, select "Update your camera manually," provide required information, then follow on-screen instructions. It is best to make sure that you are using a recommended SD card according to this list. Let us know how it goes.

Sorry to hear about the trouble especially that you are on a holiday trip. Is the camera out-of-the-box? Is the SD card correctly seated on it slot? Are you able to get information on the front display though?  If you would have access to a computer, and an SD card adapter, you can perform a manual update on your camera following this link. Once you get to the page, select "Update your camera manually," provide required information, then follow on-screen instructions. It is best to make sure that you are using a recommended SD card according to this list. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks EJ I’ll contact them once back in Uk, shame it was purchased to video my scuba diving 😟
