 gopro has been this way for a long long time AR16:9 I totally agree.    othewise that is hte way we have to do it.

Why u need to do extra step when u can shoot even perfect photo every time. That feature simply missing in gopro 7 and its like 5min of programming.

Bad Software Design.... There should be an option for still Photos for 16:9, like there is for Video.

This is 2019, stop making excuses GoPro.... And yes I know how to crop my Images from 4:3 to 16:9

I agree, this is just plain stupid not to allow to take pics in 16:9 format. Yeah, I know how to edit, too, but it's annoying, especially when doing 100's of pics.
