I have a gopro hero5 and have connected to my iPhone 6plus but I am unable to link to the Capture Ap

I get a message on the Capture ap (see attachments). "There seems to be an issue connecting to your GoPro"

I have tried every method I can find, including the troubleshooting section, but I am unable to Load media or Start to preview within the Capture App.

The GoPro indcates that Capture App is disconnected, but when I connect to iPhone Bluetooth, the App indicates "Connected", I assume you have to connect both wireless and bluetooth to activate connection!

Still unable to load Media, allways end up with the same message.

Tearing wht's left of my hair out.

Re: I have a gopro hero5 and have connected to my iPhone 6plus but I am unable to link to the Captur

Got a result at last!

After referring back to the support section within that Capture App. Which suggests toggling airplane mode on for 10 seconds then off again. (No result from that.)
I have re tried the option with the following change.

If you switch on the aeroplane mode in the iPhone 6s settings. Then manually switch on both the wifi and the Bluetooth (while leaving airplane mode on), you will find that your GoPro hero5 connects to the App correctly with full functionality.

Remember, keep the airplane mode ON when using the App, or you will find the problem re occurs if you switch it off.

Hope you find this works for you. Enjoy your trip.
Drop me a line if any of the above is not too clear. 😁👌

Are you also connecting to the wireless network on the camera? Doing that should solve it.

Hi. Yes, everything is connected and on the face of it should be working. No matter how many times I clear settings and re install I still end up with the error.
Wondering if it is the iOS 10.1 latest apple update on my iPhone 6.

I'm afraid I don't have much more advice personally other than to say that on iOS 10.1 with an iPhone 6S I'm not having any problems. Perhaps some of the troubleshooting in this thread can help: https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Hero5-Black-will-not-connect-iPhone-6S-Plus-GoPro-please-help...

Re: I have a gopro hero5 and have connected to my iPhone 6plus but I am unable to link to the Captur

Hi! Any update regarding this problem? It has also been bothering me for months now! I thought because my hero 4 was old, then I bought a hero 5 and at first try it was okay. Then now whenever I connect it the "there seems to be an issue..." prompt will always show, and I really couldn't connect it. Hope anyone can help regarding this. Thanks!

Hi guys! I really hope someone can help regarding this problem, it has been so frustrating for me already. I contacted Gopro support and in the end adviced me to buy a new Gopro hero 5, and after a week of using it the problem reoccurred. It's driving me nuts! Thank you in advance and will really appreciate all the help I can get!

Re: I have a gopro hero5 and have connected to my iPhone 6plus but I am unable to link to the Captur

did you follow the screen-by-screen instructions of the app?  it seems to work if the on screen instructions are followed step by step (ie not skipping any)

are you connected to another wi-fi network aside?  if so, forget it first.  re-add later on once you've sync'd
