I have a Hero 7 Silver that will not turn off. It is stuck in the record mode. Any advice?

Hi @gwoodall61

Can you please try pressing the Mode button for 10-15 seconds?

If it's still the same,  let the camera run out of charge.

Take the SD card out then fully charge the camera.

Once charged, proceed with a manual update

See https://gopro.com/en/us/update/hero7-silver

Let us know how it goes.

If it's still the same, please reach out to our Support Team through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs
Please have your camera's serial number and proof of purchase ready.

Thanks!

Ej

Thank you for getting back with me on the problem I am having with my Hero7 Silver. Well, I am happy to inform you that I did allow the GoPro to run out of battery charge. I charged it back up and when I turned it on the GoPro worked as it should have. So the information you shared was exactly what I had needed to do…
So thank you! Good to know there are folks out there who are helpers.
