How to turn off stabilization?

How do I turn off the stabilization?  I mount my GoPro inside a race car and the stabilization picks up on the horizon, which means the interior of the car bounces all around while the outside is steady. It's a weird effect.  How can I stop this?

Re: How to turn off stabilization?

Hi @royalcrest745

Your GoPro automatically stabilizes your footage to help eliminate camera shake whether it’s handheld or mounted to your gear.

Standard stabilization is applied on HERO7 Silver and HERO7 White.

Currently this does not have an option to add/remove.

Are you able to share a sample video so we can better assess the issue?

Thanks!

Hi @royalcrest745

Is there a another video you can share?

It will be best if you can share raw files so we can compare

Thanks!

Same thing regarding my sea kayak. Suction cup mounted on forward deck, horizon stays real steady but bow bounces around. I’d like to be able to show what is actually happening in waves...

Re: How to turn off stabilization?

@redalp74648, HyperSmooth is automatically applied to the video based on the video resolution used (see the chart guide in the article link), unless the stabilization feature is turned off.
