How do I transfer GoPro raw files (.gpr) onto ipad? When using USB to lightning adaptor and a USB card reader the ipad has the below error (even with Apples USB 3 camera adaptor)
Can not use device: Generic USB 2.0. The connected device requires too much power
Plan is to use the ipad while travelling to move raw files into Lightroom. Canon DSLR handles this well. I have even tried direct connecting the GoPro Hero 5 like I do with DSLR, but nothing happens
Thanks heaps for your help

Have you tried using the GoPro App to import files from the camera to your iPad? Check out the links below for guide:
Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried the app and it only transfers jpg files onto the iPad and not the raw version, even when the GoPro is set to take raw.

The GoPro App can only import .JPG files.
To utilize your RAW photos and audio files, you need to insert your microSD card into a card reader and locate the files with your computer’s file explorer.

I'm a little late to the party, but I am able to transfer videos to the iPad via micro sd (w/adapter) to SD card reader for ios devices. The issue comes in when I try to view the footage, the videos won't play...you can however scrub through and view the footage but not press play and have it to work. Please help! I would like to minimize from carrying laptops to just my gopro and ipad.
