@noblepeak3858, camera control via desktop (either wireless or wired) is currently not a feature. You can remotely control your GoPro camera on a mobile device via GoPro App.

Additionally, the HERO7 Black camera can also be connected to HDTV via HDMI. Check out Best Ways to Achieve Video Out Signal via HDMI for more info.

Are you trying to setup the GoPro like a webcam?

Other users have attempted this setup however it involves the use of a capture card or an OBS.

We do not have an official way to do this but you may do your own research.

I'm a  developmental research psychologist. I need inside a room a go pro connect on wireless with my Mac book pro in the other room via OBS or VLC or whatever. If I understand your suggestion I can download periscope pro (payment :-( ) and try to use it with go pro hero 7?

Periscope works with the HERO5 Black.

Other users mentioned that it also works with the HERO6 Black.
